Finding the Summerhill site is not too tricky, Hartlepool Borough Council have erected excellent signage from both the North and South entrances to the town directing you towards the site (look out for large brown Summerhill country park signs). Here is the exact location of the track on an OS Map Directions to site : from North Take the A19 Directions to site : from South Coming from the South you will need to take the A19 which connects from the A1(m) near a place called Dishforth (Junction 49). Take the A19 and head for Teesside, it is about 40 miles down. Head along the A19, through Middlesborough and Billingham until you reach the turn off for the A689. Take this turn and head right at the round-a-bout at the top (towards the services and Mc Donalds etc). Follow the A689 over the services round-a-bout and along to the next round-a-bout where you will be heading straight on towards Hartlepool. Follow the A689 through the village of Newton Bewley and into town, you will pass through two sets of traffic lights into a 50mph zone. At the third set of lights take a left (there is a large brown sign at these lights saying "Summerhill"). Follow the road down until you reach another set of traffic lights and a small shopping arcade with a pub called The Fens. Turn right at these lights (there is another Summerhill sign) and follow the road, Catcote Road, along through the town You will pass numerous shopping arcades and two secondary schools, keep a look out after passing the second school (which has rugby and football pitches opposite) you will see some huge limestone signs saying Summerhill on your left. Turn left here and follow the road along to the visitors centre. Any riders coming over the A66 should take the A1(M) heading towards Darlington and Teesside. Follow the A66(M), A167(Darlington by pass) and back onto the A66 all the way into Teesside till it joins the A19 just South of Hartlepool on the Tees fly over. Site Layout :
